Bushra is a clinical audiologist at Dr Mulham Polyclinic. She holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitative Audiology from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, Scotland and a Bachelors (Hons) Degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from Amman Ahliyya Universitiy, Jordan.
She has over 10 years of experience working with hearing impaired individuals in Dubai and her home country, Syria.
Her special interests include pediatric hearing assessments (particularly for those with complex needs), hearing aid and cochlear implant fitting and tinnitus retraining therapy. She believes in a holistic approach to hearing management. This includes setting an Individual Management Plan for each patient and their family, with a set of carefully set goals, then working with these families and other professionals to achieve these goals and carefully monitor the patient's progress.
She is a passionate advocate for the equal opportunities of all individuals, and works with schools, organizations and like-minded healthcare professionals to ensure that each individual can reach their full potential.
She speaks English, Arabic, American Sign Language and Arabic Sign Language.
